Organic Coffee

Occasion Specialties is proud to offer its fine line of organically-produced coffee. In today's market, consumers will find many products that are labeled as organic or organically-grown. But what distinguishes an item as organic?

Organic coffee is grown using agricultural techniques that do not utilize environmentally-harmful substances or methods. The source beans used to produce organic coffee are produced by coffee growers who emphasize the use of renewable resources and the conservation of soil and water. Such agricultural practices enhance environmental quality for future generations.

Environmentally-sound farming involves both avoiding harmful additives and utilizing natural solutions to crop management problems. Examples of such natural solutions include the re-use of processing residues (e.g., coffee pulp) as components of a composting program and the implementation of natural soil enrichment regime through companion planting of certain legumes and herbs.
